The Diamond Climber Awards are now in their 3rd year! We made it past the Terrible Twos and now we’re starting to run!
We’ve learned a thing or two about the awards nomination and voting process, so we’ve decided to narrow the field. Several categories have been removed (Best Kickstarter, Best RPG, Best Expansion, Best Reprint, Best Import, and Best Thematic) and two categories have been merged (Best Family and Best Gateway). Finally, in acknowledgement of solo gaming’s growing increase in popularity we’ve also added a new category (Best Solo Game). The result is a set of categories that still covers a wide swath of tabletop games, while making sure that only the best titles rise to the top.
Just like the past two years, we want fan voting to be a large component of our process, so as before we’re asking you to vote for your favorite games of 2020. Pick a game, any game, that you think is most deserving in each of our 10 categories and simply write it in. The rules are simple.
- You may vote for only one title per category.
- You may only vote a single time.
- All titles must have been released in the United States in 2020.
Voting will run from Monday, January 11 through February 17th. The fan favorites will be announced alongside our staff picks on Friday, February 19th.
You can see what the categories are, as well as take a peek at our nominations from last year.
